2-day innovation fair ends

A two-day Innovation Showcasing Fair-2020 ended at Rajshahi College auditorium here Friday afternoon with the main call of making the existing public services easier for welfare of the service-receiving public in general. Ministry of Public Administration and Commissioner Office of Rajshahi division jointly organised the divisional level event projecting and displaying most of the public service related innovations and ideas. More than 24 district and upazila level offices and institutions from all eight districts under the division showcased various information anddocuments related to public service delivery and necessary process of getting those easily after the best uses of information and communication technologies in 24 stalls.
Air chief off to Egypt

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat left Dhaka yestrday for Egypt on a four-day official visit at the invitation of the Ministry of Defence and Air Force Commander of Egypt. During his visit, the air chief will pay a courtesy call on air force commander of Egypt Lieutenant General Mohammed Abbas Helmy Hashem to exchange views on bilateral issues of mutual interest, said an ISPR press release. Marshal Serniabat will visit different Military and Civil institutions including Air Bases in Egypt. He will also observe different activities of aircraft workshops and science wing, flight simulator, radar, air traffic control and laboratories of Egyptian air academy.
Students cabinet formed

Students Cabinets have been formed in 2,765 secondary schools and 1,503 madrasas with direct voting in all eight districts under Rajshahi division today to make the students respectful toward democratic practice and values from their student life. The government took the initiative to form an eight-member Student Cabinet comprising one head of representatives and seven cabinet members in every secondary schools and madrasas. The responsibility of the student cabinets are preservation of environment, nature , sports, health, cultural programmes, tree plantation, observation of national and other important days . Deputy Director of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education Dr Shormin Ferdous Chowdhury told BSS that a total of 34,144 representatives have elected cabinet members successfully.
