Two Khulna varsity students arrested for ‘Neo JMB links’

Police arrested two students of Khulna University for their alleged links with banned militant group 'Neo JMB' from Gollamari Khurshednagar in the city early yesterday.  The arrestees were identified as Nur Mohammad Anik, 24, and Md Mujahidul Islam Rafi, 23. The duo were planning to carryout subversive activities, according to police. Deputy Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu, said a police team raided a flat in Gollamari Khurshednagar area in the city based on secret information. The two students were arrested in the raid, the police officer added. "The police also seized bomb-making substances from their possession," he said.
