Two missing boys rescued

Two boys, who went missing from Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area last Tuesday, were rescued from Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district on Friday. The two boys are – Khalid Hasan Dhrubo and his nephew Tanzim Al Islam Dibos. Family members of the missing boys thanked police and RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) members who helped find them out.

Earlier, the two were abducted allegedly by a group of unidentified criminals from Tajmahal Road area in the capital’s Mohammadpur.

Two separate general dairies (GDs) were filed with the Tejgaon and Mohammadpur police stations respectively in these connections Tuesday night. Later, father of Tanzim lawyer Fakhrul Islam filed an abduction case with the Mohammadpur police on Friday.

According to the case statement, some unidentified criminals kidnapped the duo from Tajmahal Road area on Tuesday and demanded Tk 50 lakh as ransom from Fakhrul Islam.
