Two die after falling in septic tank

Two people died after falling inside a septic tank of a toilet at Tabalchhari Singhapara village in Matiranga upazila of Khagrachhari yesterday morning. The deceased were Moriom Begum, 45, and her brother-in-law Mir Hossain, 28, of the village.  Moriom Begum fell into 15 feet deep septic tank breaking the lid of a toilet in her house at around 9.30am. Hearing the scream brother-in-law Mir Hossain rushed there and he too fell into it while trying to rescue her.
Officer-in-charge of Matiranga police station Nur Mohammad Bepari confirmed the incident quoting locals. Later, villagers rescued and sent them to Tabalchhari Health Complex, where duty medical officer declared them dead, the OC added.
