Man killed by sister-in-law

A man was hacked to death allegedly by his sister-in-law over land dispute at village Ujanchar Nawpara in Iswarganj upazila on Wednesday night. The deceased was Siddique Ali, 35, of Nawpara. Police quoted family and local people as saying that there had been a dispute over a land between Siddique, father of a boy, and his elder brother Jalil Miah. On the day of the incident at around 7-30 pm, an altercation began between them over the dispute. At one stage, Jalil’s wife Nadira Begum attacked Siddique with a machete injuring him critically.
