A mobile court here on Wednesday sentenced a young man to one month imprisonment for stalking a female student of Chattogram University (CU) on the shuttle train. The arrestee was identified as Shahjahan, 38, son of Bashir Ahmed, a staff of the canteen of Chattogram District Police Lines.
Shahjahan stalked the second-year student while going to the university by shuttle train around 3:50pm, said CU Proctor SM Manirul Hasan. Later, other students caught Shahjahan and handed him over to the police through the CU administration. A mobile court led by Hathazari Assistant Commissioner (land) and Executive Magistrate Samrat Khisha sentenced him to one month imprisonment at night.
