Bike rider killed in road accident

A pharmacy trader was killed when a truck hit his motorbike in Fakirapul intersection area yesterday.
The victim was identified as Abdul Jalil, 36, resident of Sakhipur upazila of Shariatpur district.
At around 3am at night, a speeding truck hit him from behind leaving him seriously injured, ASI Abdullah Khan of Dhaka Medical College and hospital (DMCH) police box told the BSS yesterday.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and hospital. He died while undergoing treatment around 4am in the morning.
The truck managed to flee away from the spot.
The body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy.
