Novoair, one of the country’s private airlines, on Thursday stepped into eight years after carrying 33 lakh passengers through operating over 61 thousand flights in the last seven years.
The airlines that started its flight operations between Dhaka and Chattogram on this day in 2013, celebrated the occasion holding various activities with Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB), travel agencies and passengers, a press release said.
The carrier has announced 12 per cent discount on fare for their frequent flyers called “SMILES” members, marking the day.
“Stepping into the 8th year, our commitment will be ensuring safe passenger services with the addition of more aircrafts, expanding domestic and international destinations, consistent with our valuable passengers’ needs,” Novoair Managing Director Mofizur Rahman said.
He said the airline has already added the seventh aircraft to maintain on-time performance.
Currently, Novoair operates daily flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Jashore, Sylhet, Saidpur, Rajshahi, Barishal and Kolkata.
