Prof Abdul Awal Khan new VC of ISU

Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan has recently been appointed new vice-chancellor of International Standard University (ISU) for next four years, says a press release. About 50 research papers of the renowned educationist have been published in different journals at home and abroad. Khan was born in 1948 in a respected family at Saturia village under Rajapur Thana in Jhalokati district. He obtained Masters of Commerce from the Department of Management under Dhaka University in 1969. He joined as a lecturer in the Department of Management of Chattogram University in 1973.
National Textile Day observed

Daffodil Polytechnic Institute and Daffodil Polytechnic Textile Club (DPTC) observed the National Textile Day on Thursday with much enthusiasm, says a press release In order to raise the awareness regarding facing the challenges of 21st century and Industrial 4.0 revolution, the students of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute arranged a rally on the campus at Dhanmondi in the capital early morning. Around hundred and fifty students of the Department of Textile Engineering attended the rally. After the rally a seminar was held at Bijay Milanayatoan, Daffodil International Academy (DIA). In the programme Mohamad Nuruzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family was a chief guest while Md Jayedul Haque, Deputy Chief, Ministry of Textiles and Jute, was the special guest. The seminar was presided over by KM Hassan Ripon, ED and Principal of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute. After the seminar a cultural programme organized by the Daffodil Polytechnic Textile Club (DPTC) also held. All the departmental head, faculty member and student were also present in this colorful event.
