AL leader Ahmed Ali passes away

Advocate Ahmed Ali, a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former member of the Provincial Assembly and the ex-general secretary of greater Cumilla district died of cancer on Friday. He breathed his last at about 1:47pm at the age of 97, while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city, family sources said. He left behind five daughters, four sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
