Over 2 lakh children take vitamin A plus capsules

Over 2 lakh children were administrated vitamin A Plus capsules yesterday under National vitamin A plus campaign (first round) -2020 in Chapainawabganj district.   

Civil Surgeon of Chapainawabganj Dr. Zahid Nazrul Choudhury said, “Around 1,85,435 babies (6-11 months) and 24,753 babies (12-59 months) were administered with one dose of Vitamin A Plus Blue capsule and one dose of Vitamin A Red capsule each respectively.”

The campaign was conducted under the auspices of the Public Health and Nutrition Institute and National Nutrition Services under the Ministry of Health and Family Planning with UNICEF assistance.
