200 cold-stricken poor get blankets

Rangpur district Awami League (AL) distributed blankets among total 200 cold-stricken poor, distressed and disabled people on its office premises at Betpotti area in the city yesterday evening. District AL President Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed distributed the blankets as a part of its ongoing warm clothes distribution programme among cold-hit people of all ages, including women and children, to stand beside them and mitigate their sufferings. On the occasion, Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed called upon the affluent citizens in the society, different political, sociocultural and professional organisations and trade bodies to stand beside the cold-stricken people.
