The government has undertaken all-out security measures for holding the first phase of three-day Biswa Ijtema peacefully, which will begin from tomorrow (Friday) on the bank of River Turag at Tongi in Gazipur.
“The government has taken adequate security measures ahead of the first phase of Biswa Ijtema. Vehicular movement on roads connecting to the Ijtema grounds will be controlled during the Akheri Munajat,” Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) KM Ariful Haque said.
The Akheri Munajat seeking the peace, prosperity, brotherhood and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah separately would take place at the end of the Ijtema.
