Diploma medical students press for

4-point demands

Bangladesh Diploma Medical Students’ Association (BDMSA) yesterday urged the government to establish Medical Assistant Training School to facilitate four year diploma programme to the students, reports UNB. They also urged to appoint the diploma medical professionals as ‘community medical officers’ at union and upazila levels. They came up with the demands in a statement signed by the association’s general secretary M Rajijul Islam. Other demands of the association include reinstating the intern allowances, establishment of a diploma medical education board and making it mandatory to appoint diploma medical holders in all healthcare facilities.
