Bangladesh look to complete a series sweep over Zimbabwe for the consecutive second time as they take on the Southern African nation in the tour ending second T20 International today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The match starts at 5pm. In their previous tour of Bangladesh last year, Zimbabwe were whitewashed in both Test and ODI series. This year it was also no different as they were swept in the three-match ODI series and are in danger to be whitewashed too in two-match T20 series after being thrashed in the first match by four wickets.
The visitors however threatened to pull off a stunner after the way Malcolm Waller whacked the Bangladeshi bowlers in a difficult pitch but Mashrafe Bin Mortaza showed a sensible effort in bowling and fielding placement to frustrate them once again.
Bangladesh may bring up some changes for the second T20 as Mashrafe is looking to get the right combination for the upcoming Asia Cup and World T20. Kamrul Islam Rabbi, a newbie may get a nod to make his International debut and Arafat Sunny may comeback. Anamul Haque Bijoy who was trapped run out for one in the first match is likely to get another chance. While Bangladesh are in good position to inflict another whitewash, Zimbabwe look to end the tour with some happy moment. They have been suffering from iffy batting throughout the tour albeit their bowlers fared well. Another lackluster batting would complete their humiliation as Bangladesh are on top of the form.
