Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq yesterday said the government has a plan to resolve over five lakh cases in this new-year.
“We have planned to settle down more than five lakh cases by setting up judicial programme and man power,” he said.
The minister was speaking at an inaugural ceremony on four-month Basic Training Workshop of Assistant Judges at Judicial Administration Training Institute in the city.
Director General of Judicial Administration Training Institute and former Justice Khondker Musa Khaled presided over the programme while law secretary Md Golam Sarwar spoke, among others.
The minister urged the justices to resolve the cases behind the court through mutual understanding.
