International Master Mohammed Fahad Hossain surprised the Russian Grand Master Maxim Lugovskoy with winning the second game in the ongoing EKA IIFL Investment Managers 5th International Grand Master Chess Tournament in Mumbai, India.
In the 2nd round games were held on Tuesday when IM Fahad played with white pieces and won the match against GM Maxim.
After the big win, IM Fahad is sharing lead in the points table along with other 15 players with two points after second round games.
Bangladesh Grand Master, GM Ziaur Rahman earned 1.5 points and Tahsin Tajwar Zia earned 0.5 point. In the second round GM Zia beat Manish Kumar of India and Tahsin lost to IM Kunguvel Ponnuswamy of India.
Marzouq Chowdhury and Azher Hossain earned 1 point each after third round games in the EKA IIFL Investment Managers 5th Mumbai Junior Under-13 FIDE Rating Chess Tournament.
