Domingo to tour Pakistan if main stream team goes

Amid uncertainty about the much talked Bangladesh national cricket team’s upcoming Pakistan series that still remains unsettled, Tigers head coach Russell Domingo admitted that he found no problem accompanying his team if only the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) agreed to send the main stream side to tour Pakistan.

Regarding the series, both the two Boards exchanged own opinions where the PCB stood firm on their decision to host the three T20Is and two Test matches entirely on Pakistan soil while the BCB agreed to play the T20 series in Pakistan and asked the PCB to arrange the two Tests at neutral venue.

The BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon also voiced concern over the tour when at a press conference he said that many of the players including the coaching staff declined to go Pakistan for the full series.

But, Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo shared a different opinion when he told an English local daily that “If the team is given clearance to go, then I will go. I think some guys are not keen to go. But if we have to then I am going.”

Although, Domingo expressed his willingness to tour Pakistan, however, said that the tour would totally depend on the BCB’s decision whether it will send the team or not.

“I think we can only discuss the matter once the decision is made. We need to discuss with the cricket board and the board will decide what will happen next,” he added.
