Realtors have received spot orders for flats, plots, and commercial space of Tk2,000 crore at REHAB Winter Fair 2019, which concluded on Saturday.
Different bank and financial institutions, who participated in the exposition, made commitments to provide loans of Tk1,700 crore for the purchase of flats and plots. Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) president Alamgir Shamsul Alamin confirmed this and told The Independent that this year the spot order for the flats and plots have stood approximately Tk 2,000 crore.
The five-day Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) fair took place December 24 -28 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
According to REHAB press release, a total of 29,103 people visited the expo and spot sales for flats, plots, and commercial space at the fair is worth Tk456 crore.
“In this year’s fair, visitors were more active and focused on buying flats and placing orders to purchase,” said Alamin.
He also said the buyers’ confidence was boosted by the economic growth of the country.
On top of that, enhanced home loans provided to public servants increased the purchasing power to buy flats, he added.
At the fair, financial institutions and banks also attended the fair to woo people in a bid to provide loans to clients to buy flats, plots, and commercial space to lessen the burden of cash payment.
To attract customers, 230 stalls of a total of 160 developers companies participated in the fair, while 30 building materials and 14 money lending organizations also took part.
