Four muggers arrested

Police arrested alleged four muggers and seized a private car from Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh on Saturday morning.
The arrestees are-Shahadat Hossain, 38, son of Abdul Kader of Pathorgata in Barguna; Shah Alam, 28, son of Sabuj Mia of Homna in Cumilla; Swapon Mia, 28, son of late Abdul Jobber in Phulpur of Mymensingh; and Ujjol Mia, 30, son of Abdul Munnaf of Sherpur sadar upazila, police said.
The muggers, in guise of passengers boarded Sajib Mia, son of Abdur Rashid of Trishal upazila in Mymensingh said Mohammad Mainuddin, OC of Bhaluka Police Station.
When the car crossed Trishal upazila headquarters, the muggers allegedly took away the mobile phone set and Tk 1,190 in cash from Sajib and left him at Chelerghat area beside Dhaka-Mymensingh highway said the OC.
Sajib informed Bhoraduba highway police in adjacent to Bhaluka upazila.
A police team led by sub-inspector Aminul Haque waylaid the private car at Bhaluka bus stand area and arrested the four snatchers, the OC informed.
