Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman in a sack from Uttarjamsing area in the municipality area yesterday morning. Sub-inspector Alamgir Hossain of Savar Model Police Station said police found the decomposed body packed in a sack behind the house of Montaj Molla. The hands of the woman, 40, were tied with socks and there were several injury marks on her body. Miscreants might have strangled the woman to death elsewhere and then dumped the body in the area, he said. Laterwas sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case would be filed in this connection and police are investigating the matter, the Sub-inspector Alamgir added.
