Boishakhi TV, a leading private television channel in the country, steps into 15 years today. Promising to nurture the spirit of Bangladesh’s Liberation War and Bengali culture, Boishakhi started its journey on this day in 2005. To celebrate the glorious journey in a befitting manner, the TV station has chalked out daylong programmes consist of music, drama, films and others.
National Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will present as chief guest at the cake-cutting ceremony at 11am to mark the occasion. Veteran media personalities and eminent dignitaries from different sectors will also attend the programme.
Tipu Alam Milon, deputy managing director and chief editor of Boishakhi TV, said, “This is a day of immense happiness for us. The daylong celebration will kick off with a special musical show titled ’15 Bochhore Boishakhi’ at 8:25am. Beginning with the performance of Debolina Sur and Anima Roy, a total of 19 singers will perform at the show till 7pm. l
