2 held for ‘gang-raping’ woman in Ctg

Police yesterday arrested two people for allegedly gang-raping a woman at Nalandha village in Patiya upazila. The arrestees were identified as Nurul Azim alias Dulu, 26, son of Nurul Hakim, and Khorshed Alam, 25, son of late Mojaher Mia of the village. Borhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Patiya Police Station, said the incident took place on Thursday evening when the woman, a mother of four, was returning home at Uttar Gobindarkhil village in Patiya municipality from her relative's house at the Nalandha village. Dulu, Khorshed and two others took her to a jungle of the village and raped her in turns before fleeing.
