A police constable of Pirojpur, who remained missing for three days, was rescued alive in Jhalakathi on Wednesday night. Constable Maloy Das, 32, was found inside a canal with hands and legs tied. He went missing on November 8. Sources said residents of village Chehri in Kathalia upazila in Jhalakathi district first saw the constable there. Shibendra Dhali, sub-inspector of Bhandaria police station in Pirojpur, came and took him to Bhandaria police station at night. Md Walid Hossain, superintendent of police, Pirojpur said the incident is being investigated. No other details were available.
