Independent journalist robbed off
Mizanur Rahman Khan, a senior photojournalist of The Independent, was robbed of hisbelongings, including his still camera and cell phone by a group of men who waylaid his rickshaw near the Tejgaon truck stand in the capital on Wednesday evening. He was dragged out of his rickshaw and assaulted by these men who were armed with guns and machetes and forced to part with his belongings. Despite cries for help none came forward in the dark street that runs through the truck stand. A complaint was filed with the Shilpanchal police station accusing unidentified people in this connection.
