Fire at House Building Finance Corporation

A fire broke out at the House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) at Purana Paltan in the capital yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. The fire originated from a burning cigarette in a stockpile of dustbin on the first floor of the three-storey HBFC building at 22 Purana Paltan around 1.28 pm, fire brigade sources said. Four fire fighting engines rushed to the place of occurrence and doused the flame around 2.34 pm.
