2nd UK-Bangladesh E-Commerce fair begins in London today

The two-day long second UK-Bangladesh E-Commerce Fair 2015 begins today at the Waterlily convention center of East London, reports UNB.
Jointly organised by ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority, and Computer Jagat, the fair will showcase products and services of e-Commerce companies of Bangladesh to Bangladeshi Community in London.
The slogan of this years fair is Digital Bangladesh: A Land of Opportunities.
Over 50 companies, including online stores, websites, e-Government services, credit cards and payment services, banking services, e-education, software and hardware, real estate, telecom, courier service, airlines, tourism-travel and hotel, fashion house and others, are going to showcase their products and services in the fair.
Organisers hope that the fair would attract around 50,000 visitors and 5,000 professionals will share their experiences with the audience. Meanwhile, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed left Dhaka for London Wednesday night to join the fair.
Commerce minister will attend the fair as the chief guest, both in the opening and closing sessions of the two-day fair, said an official at the Commerce Ministry. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak will attend it as a special guest.

Monzila Uddin, Chairman, APPG on Curry Industry Paul Scully MP, President, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Abdul Matlub Ahmad and founder chairman, NRB Bank Limited Iqbal Ahmed OBE will also attend it, said a press release received from the organisers.
Some of the top trade organisations -- Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Dhaka Chamber of Commerce Industry (DCCI), Bangladesh Association of Call Center Outsourcing (BACCO), and e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) -- are the supporting partners of the fair.
