Master bedroom is the place where one can go after a long day to unwind completely. It should be a room that is peaceful and that promotes sleep. With a few plans and some effort, you can have a serene and comfortable bedroom where you would want to spend time.
Plan
First, you need to gather ideas and search for popular looks for the way you want your bedroom to feel. An easy way to do this is to go online, browse magazines and look for styles in home deco stores. Then save what you like. Before buying any furniture, you need to measure the space to ensure a perfect arrangement.
Theme
The theme is extremely important. Think about what you want _ a casual, contemporary or romantic bedroom _ and then tie up all the other things.
Bedroom furniture
After taking measurements and keeping the concept of space and theme in mind, you can start searching for furniture. Several things to consider while doing this are: enough storage space, not too much furniture for a small area etc. Make sure there is plenty of walking room left.
Lighting
Proper lighting completely changes the look of the furniture and room tone. Choose nice bedside table lamps, or a standing lamp if you have a sitting area. The main light will be a focal point so you have to choose wisely, and also make sure there is enough sunlight available during the day.
Accessories
These will complete the look of the bedroom. They should be chosen with care for different seasons and occasions. First, make a list of things you will need and then start collecting:
-Curtains/blinds
-Beddings-comforters, blankets, pillows, mattresses
-Decorative pillows/ cushions
-Wall hangings and picture frames
-A rug or carpet
-Mirrors
Some extra tips
If your bedroom is big enough, create a sitting area _ a place just to relax or read.
Keep your room clean and free from clutter and do not do chores in your bedroom like ironing, folding clothes or office work.
Make your room smell nice _ fragrant candles or room fresheners will give an extraordinary comforting feel that is sure to lift your mood.
