Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts is organising a three-week long solo art exhibition titled ‘Bela-Aubelar Rangragini’ (Colour, Rhapsody and Memories of Time) by artist Tahera Khanam. Artist Syed Jahangir and artist Samarjit Roy Choudhury will inaugurate the exhibition jointly today at 6pm at the premises of Bengal Shilpalaya.Born in 1935, artist Tahera Khanam completed her graduation in drawing and painting from the then Government Institute of Arts and Crafts (presently known as the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka), Dhaka in 1959. Now she is going to exhibit another solo ‘Bela-Aubelar Rangragini’ at Bengal foundation from today.
Tahera Khanam depicts many aspects of nature such as flowers, trees, mountains, birds, fish, water, boats, sky and so many things in her illustration in a simple form.
The exhibition will showcase as many as 48 artworks. The exhibition will remain open to all from 12pm to 8pm until June 25.
