Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selector Habibul Bashar Sumon said that pacer Mustafizur Rahman is running out of time. He has becoming quite expensive as well as predictable in the recent past raising concern among the selectors over his poor form with the ball.
The BCB selector also thinks Mustafizur has been failing to deliver yorkers which is quite unexpected whom he thinks a special bowler for Bangladesh.
“Mustafiz has really been missing over the year. There is no yorker delivery in his bowling which he had mastered excellently in the previous time. He has been lacking it. At the same time he is becoming too predictable and batsmen can easily read him. This is the area I’m concerned about him,” Bashar told reporters yesterday.
Playing for Rangpur Rangers he was blasted for four sixes in a single over to Dasun Shanak Rangpur Rangers was expensive in his last two overs.
“Mustafiz bowled quite well in the first two overs but he was too predictable in the last two overs of the match. He frequently bowled at same length and got punished. He needs to learn from that and go for another plan. He should have understood that how to bowl at,” Bashar said.
