Teachers� recruitment in non-govt instts

The education ministry yesterday issued a circular saying all activities regarding recruitments of teachers at non-government educational institutions will remain stopped till further directive.
The circular said the vacancy announcement for teachers at any non-government educational institutions published after October 22 this year will be illegal.
It, however, said the authorities of respective educational institutions will be able to carry out the procedure for appointing teachers against vacancy announcement published before October 22, 2015.
The circular said the directives will be effective from 22 October 2015 after the issuance of gazette for the amendment of old Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) Act-2006.
The circular came after allegations of anomalies regarding recruitment of teachers at the non-government educational institutions surfaced across the country recently.
NTRCA conducted three Non-government Teachers Registration Examinations.
The first examination was held in November 2005 to fulfill the vacancies in the teaching position of non-government educational institutions. The second teachers registration examination was held in September 2006 and third examination was held in September 2007.
A Non-Government Teachers Examination, Registration and Certification Rules has already been framed and put to operation.
