Inefficiency is a major barrier to implement public policy and it is needed efficiency for implementation of policy. Patriotism and consciousness are preconditions for policy implementation. Secretary of the science and technology ministry Anwar Hossain came up with this while addressing at a seminar on ‘Successful Policy Implementation: Role of Science and Technology’ at the city’s National Science and Technology Museum yesterday. Among others, chief coordinator of Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM) Pranab Chakrabarty, director general of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, BIGM trainees Mostafa Kamal, Shaila Sharmin and Nasir Uddin Khan also spoke on the occasion.  “The government has formulated development and welfare oriented policies for the citizens of the country. So, everybody should have to play key role from their own places to implement such policies,”  Anwar Hossain said.
