Juba League man killed in Feni infighting

A Juba League activist was killed and three others were injured in a clash between two Juba League factions in Ghopal union of Chhagalnaiya upazila yesterday afternoon over establishing supremacy in the area.
The deceased was identified as Md Siraj, 35 .
According to witnesses, there was a long standing dispute between Julfiqar, joint general secretary of upazila Awami League
and Manik, general secretary of Ghopal union Awami League, over establishing supremacy in the area
and a sand quarry in the union.
As a sequel to the enmity, the clash ensued around 4:30 pm.
Siraj, supporter of Jilfiqar group, suffered bullet wound during the clash and died on the spot.
Three other injured JL activists were admitted to Feni Sadar hospital.
On information, police visited the spot, said Mesbah Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chhagalnaiya Police station.
