Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC), High Commission of India, Dhaka is organising an event titled ‘ICCR Scholar’s Evening’ with performances by Mrityunjoy Das (flute) and Bishwajit Kumar Natta (Tabla), today at Gulshan North Avenue, in the capital’s Gulshan area. Born on June 5, 1980, Mrityunjoy Das studied at Rabindra Bharati University. At present he is working at Bangladesh Betar. Bishwajit Kumar Natta trained under the guidance of his grandfather, late Pandit Hiron Chandra Natta, late Pandit Anokhelal Mishra of the Benaras Gharana, Pandit Shankar Ghosh and his father, Patit Paban Natta; Bishwajit has accompanied many renowned artists and also engaged in Pandit Shankar Ghosh’s orchestra group, Dhawni.
