2 Ansarullah Bangla Team suspects held in capital

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from the capital’s Pallabi area on Thursday night.

The arrestees have been identified as Manjurul Islam Shohag, 26, a resident of  Sherpur district and Shukkur Ali, 22, who hails from  Cumilla.

Getting secret information,  a team of RAB-4 conducted a drive around 9:45 pm and arrested them from Pallabi area, said Assistant Super-intendent of Police Mizanur Rahman of RAB-4 (Media).

The elite force members also recovered some leaflets and some extremist books from the spot, the RAB official said.
