22nd conference on ICCIT at SEU Dec 18

The 22nd  conference on International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT) will be held on Southeast University (SEU) campus in the capital from December 18 to 20. The decision was taken at a meeting held on Thursday, says a press release. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-chancellor of SEU Prof AFM Mafizul Islam. Prof ANM Mesquat Uddin, adviser of BoT, Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (retd), registrar, Prof Muhibul Haque Bhuyan, chair of the organising committeem and the conveners and members of different sub-committees were present in the meeting. Total 105 out of 366 articles from various countries, including USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, China, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, India and Finland, are accepted to be presented during the conference. Total 13 prominent researchers from USA and Japan will attend the conference as speakers.  This year’s ICCIT is being hosted to provide a unique opportunity for the computer and information technology professionals, scientists, engineers, educators, researchers and students from all over the world to exchange their scientific ideas, views and thoughts with fellow researchers and participants.

IU gets new press administrator

UNB, Islamic University

M Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal, associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, has been made new press administrator of Islamic University in Kushtia. IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari appointed him to the post for the next one year, IU acting Registrar SM Abul Latif told UNB on Tuesday. He was appointed to the post as the tenure of previous press administrator, Professor Habibur Rahman of Bangla department, came to an end, he added.
