College girl dies in Gazipur train accident

A college girl was killed in a train accident in Kaliganj area here on Thursday morning. The deceased identified as Tamanna Akhter 19, daughter of Ayub Ali of Choura village under Gazipur municipality was a student of Kaliganj Women’s College. Police said a Chattagram-bound intercity train (Sonar Bangla) hit her while she was crossing the rail track on her way to college, leaving her dead on the spot. Meanwhile, Parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of women and children affairs chairperson and governing body president of Kaliganj Women’s College Meher Afroz Chumki has donated Tk 15,000 to the family of the deceased.
