Gas cylinder blast in Ctg; 6 injured

Six people suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion near a shipbreaking yard at Saltgola intersection in the city on Thursday night. The injured were identified as Osman Gani, 45, Rajib Das, 30, Rakib, 18, Nurul Alam, 35, Enayet and Azam. Nurul Huda, officer-in-charge of Chattogram EPZ Police Station, said the explosion took place near the workshop of Western Marine Ship Yard Ltd around 11:30 pm, leaving six workers injured. The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
