Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque yesterday said the government is working to ensure safe vegetables for the consumer through keeping the farmers under supervision. “The country is now surplus in food. Agriculture has turned into commercial agriculture under the prudent policy and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said. The minister was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration session of the ‘Bangabandhu Krisaker Bazar’ at the Shech Bhaban in the city, said a press release. Razzaque said in the last one year, the government kept the farmers under supervision and for that they are producing safe food.
