One to die for killing woman

BARGUNA: A court here yesterday sentenced a man to death for killing a woman at Uttar Tafalbari village in Sharankhola upazila of the district in 2012, reports BSS.
Additional District and Sessions Judge M Jakaria Hossain pronounced the verdict yesterday noon.
The convict was Ruhul Amin Hawlader, 41, of the same area. The prosecution story, in brief, is that Ruhul hacked to death his neighbour Farida Begum, 50, wife of Rustam Ali, over previous enmity on May 28 in 2012.
On the day, victim’s sister Aleya Begum filed a murder case with Sharankhola police station against Ruhul Amin.
Police after investigation of the case submitted charge-sheet to the court against him. The judge, after examining the witnesses and evidences, found Ruhul guilty and announced the judgment.
