Three-day long basic course for journalists organized by Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) has started at Khagra-chhari Press Club on Wednes-day. Deputy Commissioner, Md Wahiduzzaman inaugurated the programme as chief guest while Khagrachhari Press Club President Jiten Barua presided over the programme.
Trainer of PIB Khandakar Parvez Uddin and District Information Officer Milon Kanti Chakma were present at the inaugural function. The DC told the journalists to be impartial, neutral in while presenting the news items and asked them for working to establish permanent peace in Khagrachhari. Considering journalists as social reformers, DC Wahiduz-zaman asked them to work for ensuring better services in all stages.
