Bangladesh saw another setback on their mission to regain the SA Games football title when they managed a one all draw with the Maldives in their second match yesterday at the Dasarath Rangasala Stadium Stadium.
Bangladesh National Under-23 team, who went Nepal with a high hope to win the ongoing XIII SA Games, made their job more than tough after going down to Bhutan in the first match and making draw with Maldives in the second match.
Bangladesh now have to cross stiff hurdle to at least play in the final when they will have to win in their rest two league matches against Sri Lanka and the hosts Nepal.
Bangladesh, who were in a position to win the match against Maldives following their shocking defeat to Maldives went ahead on 30th minute and could keep the lead up to70th minute.
But Maldives, who had the better domination in the match, equalized the margin on 71st minute to shatter Bangladesh prospect to earn full three points from the match.
Bangladesh will have no option but to win their next two matches to move into the final when they play their third match against Sri Lanka tomorrow and will take on the hosts Nepal on December 8.
Earlier, Host Nepal trounce Bhutan by 4-0 to brighten their chance to play in the final.
