Bangladesh will not send their national team in Pakistan for the next tour in January until they are getting the green signal from the government, said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Jalal Younus.
“They always obey the orders of the government where there is a security concern”, Jalal said, adding that they may send another delegation team to assess the current security situation in Pakistan.
But he said they will soon take a final decision regarding Bangladesh team’s tour in Pakistan. Bangladesh are scheduled to tour in Pakistan for two-Test series along with three-match Twenty20 Internationals will be held in January and February.
“Pakistan tour is still on,” said Jalal Younus.
“A few days back, our honourable president said a primary security team toured in Pakistan, where there is an inspection report. If anything is not held in the meantime, it’ll then be remained the same,” Jalal told reporters yesterday..
“A team may go to Pakistan to assess the current situation again until a final decision is done. Everything depends on the approval of the government,” he added.
“We think the government is the final say where there is a security concern. In this case, we will try to obey the government’s rules and orders,” he responded to a query.
