Pacer Anik set to be banned after failing dope test

Controversy and Bangladesh cricket are going hand-in-hand in recent times. Since the end of the World Cup, things have just not fallen into place for the Tigers. They lost the ODI and T20I series in Sri Lanka before losing a Test to Afghanistan at home. Things then went haywire for them as their players called a strike before Shakib Al Hasan was banned by the ICC for breaching code of conduct.
Bangladesh recently endured a torrid time in India as the hosts thrashed them in the T20I and the Test series. The Tigers did manage to win the first T20I but things only went downhill from there on. They lost the next two T20Is comprehensively before conceding both the Tests inside three days while suffering innings defeat.
Bangladesh cricket is now set to suffer another setback as their promising left-arm pace bowler Kazi Anik is set to receive a suspension after failing a dope test during the National Cricket League. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the news on Saturday.
