IS recruit and daughter back in Ireland

The broadcaster RT is reporting that an Irish citizen who became an Islamic State bride arrived back in Dublin today. Lisa Smith and her daughter travelled from Turkey. It is expected she will be interviewed by police about suspected terrorist offences. Plans have also been made for the care of her two-year-old daughter, who was born in Syria, but is an Irish citizen.
Israel planning new Jewish settlement

Israels new hard-right defence minister yesterday ordered officials to start planning a new Jewish settlement in the heart of the divided West Bank city of Hebron. The announcement came as the prospects of a third snap election since May loomed larger, with Defence Minister Naftali Bennetts New Right party leaning heavily on settlers for support at the polls.
Airbus fires 16 over suspected German army spying: report

European aviation giant Airbus has fired 16 employees over a case that had prompted Germany to open a probe into suspected industrial espionage, German media reported yesterday. National news agency DPA said Airbus confirmed the sacking but did not provide further details.
