Bernicat lauds security measures

US Ambassador Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat yesterday lauded the government effort to strengthen security measure in Bangladesh and termed the effort as positive and satisfactory, reports BSS.
She expressed her satisfaction when she was called on Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader at his office yesterday.
The US envoy appraised the minister that security alert announcement by the United States was a part of the regular routine work.
Emerging from the meeting, the minister told reporters that the excellent relations having between the United States and Bangladesh and the US government wants to strengthen the relation further.
"The US government also wants economic and political stability in Bangladesh. We assured her in this respect," Quader said.
