Sponsored by Jamuna Bank, BPL Dhaka Team confirmed the appointment of Rasel as their bowling coach. Even Syed Rasel himself confirmed the news through his verified facebook page. The pacer had been a part of the BPL previously having played for Duronto Rajshahi in the maiden edition of the domestic blockbuster Twenty20 tournament in 2012. Since then, he was not in BPL.
The pacer, who played six Tests along with 52 ODIs and eight T20Is for the national team and chalked up total 87 wickets before being retired from the international cricket, thanked the authority of the Jamuna Bank Dhaka Platoon and its head coach Mohammad Salahuddin for giving him chance and spin hopes on him as their bowling coach.
