Arms seized, four held

Detective police in separate drives arrested four youths and recovered arms and ammunition from Akua area in Mymensingh town early yesterday.
Police also arrested four persons during the drive.The arrestees are Pappu, 22, Raju, 21, Shamim, 23, and Sanny, 25.
These youths are involved in drug trade in the town, said Imarat Hossain Gazi, officer-in-charge of Detective Branch  of Police, Mymensingh.
The police arrested Raju and Pappy during a raid at a rented house in Akua Lichu Bagan area at around 2am yesterday.
Following their confessional statement, police also raided Akua Chourangir Mour area and arrested Sanny and Shamim.
The DB team also recovered two foreign pistols, a machete, two magazines, eight
rounds of bullets from their possession.
