2 siblings killed in road accident

BARISAL: Two siblings were killed and four others injured as a micro bus collided head-on with a pickup at Ichladi on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Ujirpur upazila on Monday morning, reports BSS. The deceased were identified as Ismael Howlader, 45, and his brother Abul Howlader, 40, residents of the district town. Witnesses said the Barisal-bound micro-bus carrying national newspapers from Dhaka collided head-on with the Dhaka-bound betel nut-loaded pickup in the area at about 7:30 am, leaving the two pickup passengers dead on the spot and the drivers and helpers of both the vehicles injured. The injured were taken to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
