One more patient died of dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, in Barishal yesterday. The deceased was identified as Manija, 45, wife of Md Kamal, hailing from Nesarabad Upazila of Pirojpur district. She passed away while undergoing treatment at Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. She was admitted there in a critical condition on November 2, but breathed her last while undergoing treatment, said Dr. Bakir Hossain, director of the hospital.
According to the DGHS, a total of 184 dengue patients got admitted to various hospitals across the country in last 24 hours. Of the fresh case of admissions, 65 got admitted to various hospitals in the capital while the remaining 119 people to hospitals outside the capital. However, the DGHS control room in a press release said at least 766 patients are currently undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals across the country.
